CONTEXT:
All About Promotions are a promotional product and branded apparel supplier. They source, brand and supply innovative products, offering only the best service, quality, pricing and turnaround. They have one office in Auckland and have less than 10 employees.
CHALLENGES:
- All About Promotions felt that they didn’t have a clear business plan and found that they didn’t have a core focus, which made employees feel unclear about what their purpose was to the organisation.
- All About Promotions wanted to have a clear business plan with action plans which would help achieve great results. Specifically they;
- Wanted to hit set revenue target and net profit
- Wanted to develop processes and systems so that the business was not dependent on the business owners and ran more effectively and efficiently
- Wanted to get better at setting goals and delivering on them.
STRATEGIES:
- All About Promotions had worked with POD on ad hoc HR matters in the past and found POD to be proactive and supportive in terms of understanding big picture for the business.
- The team at POD collaborated with the leadership team on building a living business plan together with clear definable actions
- POD developed the company vision, values – which the team supported and are committed to and business drivers
- We looked at the wider market and completed a SWOT analysis, looking at the current and target market
- In addition, we created SMART actions for business development/ marketing/ operations/ finances/ HR with agreed timeframes for completion.
OUTCOME:
Through monthly coaching sessions, the team at POD was able to help All About Promotions to achieve the agreed actions. All actions were completed and goals achieved at the end of our services provided.
